Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of more.md. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
This is a plain-language template tailored to more.md. Review it with qualified legal counsel for your jurisdiction before relying on it in production.
1. Who we are
more.md (“more.md”, “we”, “us”) provides a platform that gives every entity a single URL that both humans and AI agents can read, built on the open Entity Engagement Protocol (EEP). These terms form a binding agreement between you and more.md.
2. The service
more.md lets you publish a profile and content at a type-scoped URL, expose it to AI agents in machine-readable formats, optionally gate content behind payment, and receive payouts. Some capabilities are offered under paid plans; others are open source under the MIT license described in our public repository.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account, and at least 18 to use paid creator features. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials and API keys secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and any API key you issue.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use more.md to:
- publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive content;
- impersonate a person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- upload malware, or attempt to breach, overload, or probe our systems;
- circumvent content gates, rate limits, or access controls;
- scrape the human interface at scale instead of using the documented agent and API surfaces (
agents.json, the REST API, and the SDKs).
We may suspend or remove content and accounts that violate these terms or that we are legally required to act on.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you publish. You grant more.md a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and serve that content — including in machine-readable formats to agents — solely to operate and improve the service. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you publish, and for complying with the licenses of anything you include.
6. Paid features & creator payments
Paid plans and content gates may be settled via card (through our payment processor) or via the x402 agent-payment rails. Where you sell gated content, we act as a facilitator: we may deduct a commission and applicable processor fees before paying out your net balance through the payout flow. You are responsible for the taxes on your earnings. Payouts may require identity verification (KYC). Refunds and chargebacks are handled per the policy shown at purchase and may result in a clawback against your balance.
7. Intellectual property
The more.md name, logo, and the hosted service are our property. Open-source components are licensed separately under the terms stated in their repositories. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you, or yours to us beyond the license in section 5.
8. Termination & deletion
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is a 30-day soft delete: your public identity is hidden immediately and the account is recoverable by signing back in during that window, after which it is permanently erased (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
9. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, more.md is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the prior twelve months or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced and the “last updated” date revised. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Disputes are governed by the laws stated in our final, counsel-reviewed terms before launch.
